Maintec opens branches in Czech Republic ahead of expected labor shortages
Humares Group’s technical staffing subsidiary responds to growing shortages in the market for skilled technical personnel by opening Czech branches

Maintec, the Humares Group subsidiary specialized in the national and international recruitment and placement of skilled technical personnel, has strengthened its position in Europe by opening two branches in Zlin and Kladno in the Czech Republic. The new branches increase Maintec’s ability to recruit technical personnel for Maintec in the Netherlands and for Maintec and Impact Interim in Belgium.
The Czech branches will play an important role as sourcing offices for the operations of Maintec and Impact Interim in the Netherlands and Belgium. The new branches will also focus on the development of Local-for-Local business in the Czech Republic.
Structural tightness
“Even though the crisis has temporarily taken the pressure off the labor market, demographic developments show that in the coming years a small economic upturn will mean having to deal with enormous shortages, particularly for skilled technical personnel. Our sourcing strategy is focused on being able to provide skilled staff to our customers at all times. In the short term we can do this by recruiting personnel from Central, Eastern and Southern Europe, but in the long term these regions will experience shortages too. Then we may have to seek sources outside Europe. We are currently working to prepare for these developments,” said Humares CEO Patrick van der Ploeg.

Van der Ploeg said he is pleased with the new branches: “Humares aims to strengthen its position within Europe.
