Patrick van der Ploeg, former USG People, is appointed as Division Director for a part of the organization. Eventually, he will grow into the position of CEO.

Vlissingen, 24 September 2009 – Humares, specialist in the temporary placement and secondment of maritime, technical and industrial staff, has agreed to sell the Belgian arm of its subsidiary XPE Group to Adecco. The proceeds from the sale will be used to strengthen Humares’ balance sheet and focus on the company’s core business in the maritime, technical and industrial sectors. At the same time Humares is announcing a change in management as CEO Alain Dehaze is leaving the company. Humares founder and delegated Supervisory Board member Wijnand van Gessel is temporarily taking over the day-to-day management of the company.

Vlissingen, 26 March 2009 – Maintec, specializing in secondment and training of inter)national technical staff has appointed Gertjan Holterman as General Manager for the service concepts 'local for local' and 'apprentice concept'. Holterman is heading the 18 Dutch Maintec branches. Maintec is part of the Humares Group.
Vlissingen, 19 March 2009 – Marc Boriau (formerly of USG Innotiv) is joining XPE Engineering Belgium as Managing Director. Under Boriau's management XPE Engineering Belgium expects to accelerate its organic growth by focusing on recruitment & selection and the secondment of highly skilled workers in the Cleantech industry.
Vlissingen, 17 March 2009 – Following its launch in Belgium, XPE Engineering, part of the Humares Group, is now set to start business in the Netherlands. XPE Engineering will run the specialist recruitment, selection and secondment activities for the engineering sector currently operated in Rotterdam, Eindhoven and Groningen by sister company Maintec. Despite the adverse market conditions, XPE Engineering Netherlands is aiming for a healthy annual revenue growth.
Vlissingen, 22 January 2009 – Impact Interim, part of Humares Group of the Netherlands, has acquired fellow flexible staffing organization TOP Interim. TOP Interim has four branches in Wallonia, one in Brussels and one in Flanders (in the town of Mortsel). The acquisition provides Impact Interim with nationwide coverage in Belgium, expanding its network to 15 branches with € 40 million in revenue and putting around 1,150 people to work every day.
Vlissingen, 8 January 2009 – Humares and her operating companies have not sent Christmas cards by post in 2008. Instead, they have e-mailed a digital version to all their contacts. The money saved, € 5.750, will be donated to the foundation KiKa, which raises money for children with cancer.
Vlissingen, 7 January 2009 – Humares has launced her new website. The new site complies with all demands for modern websites. The content was updated and expanded in comparison with the existing site. Last but not least, a career section was added, replacing the separate recruitment website.
Vlissingen, 6 January 2009 – Employment intermediary for the maritime sector Oceanwide has appointed Andrey Shishkin as new Managing Director for its activities in Russia. Shishkin will be responsible for the further growth of the Russian recruitment activities as well as the expansion of the client base in Russia.
