New Maintec one of the largest (inter)national staffing brands in the technical sector

Holding company Humares joins 13 brands focussing on the technical sector together under one powerful label

Ede, 3 June 2008

The Humares Group has decided to group all its technical subsidiaries under the brand name Maintec. By doing so a new label arises that is one of the largest staffing companies in the technical sector with over 1,750 employees and boasts a many years' experience in the recruitment and guidance of international professionals in sectors that show a large personnel shortage.

"With a new Maintec we create a powerful label in which we combine the power of large volume with the depth of six specialisations", says Humares CEO Alain Dehaze. Humares is one of the leading players in the international flexible employment market. The company recruits and mediates specialised employees for local companies as well as multinationals using its worldwide network of fully owned offices.

New Maintec is formed by joining Maintec Mobiele Techniek (automotive), AREL Uitzendbureau (technical installation), Maintec Contracting (metal and technical installation), Maintec Bouw and Maintec Belgium (construction), Groninger Lascentrale (metal/ welding), NOVA Engineering (engineering), Columbus, Maintec Germany, Flexabel Belgium, OWI Group Australia, Tectec Poland and Cedeinfesta Portugal(all six of them specialise in cross-border employment). These companies joined the Humares Group in the past years through acquisition.

Expansion and awareness

Dehaze points out two strategic reasons for joining these companies together. Firstly Maintec will become one of the largest (inter)national staffing agencies in the technical sector. This increases the value for its customers since Maintec is able to offer a larger supply of specialists. Secondly, Maintec becomes more attractive to temporary and seconded employees through is recognized international brand operation. The new combination is effective as from the 31st of May 2008. Maintec expects a further growth in revenue and number of seconded employees.

Maintec distinguishes itself from other staffing agencies with its so called ‘International Distance Matching' concept, through which international professionals are matched with Dutch and Belgium customers.
Especially in the technical sector there is a large shortage of well qualified personnel. Maintec has fully owned recruitment offices in Germany, Poland, Portugal and the Philippines, through which they are able to assess employees themselves. They have gained large experience in the recruitment and guidance of international employees over the past years. For example, various Polish, Portuguese and Spanish metal workers and engineers were employed at a yard in Kinderdijk, the Netherlands. Employees from various countries are also employed in Belgium and Australia.

Local Maintec projects

Also local professionals are employed on interesting projects. One of the subsidiaries supplied engineers for the building and construction of interiors for luxurious yachts and ferries in Vlissingen, the Netherlands. In addition, Maintec developed an apprenticeship concept, through which young and motivated employees are employed. The company employs a large number of young professionals under supervision at customers' locations. At present there are more than 250 car and truck mechanics apprenticeships employed at customers in the automotive sector and the number of apprenticeships in the air conditioning sector is growing fast.
