The times of predictable economic cycles with stable economic growth followed by a predictable period of slowdown are over for now. The impact of the credit crisis has not nearly been absorbed. As a result there will only be room for very limited growth in the coming decades, meaning that the economy will remain unsettled for a long time with only short spells of upswing followed by a crisis, the depth and duration of which cannot be predicted. Flexibility and the ability to act swiftly is essential in such a situation and that means being able to manage costs down quickly while rapidly increasing production capacity. The companies best suited to do this will be the winners of the future. Humares plays an important role in this force field by providing flexible labor - the main cost item for most companies.
Another important factor in the labor market in addition to the economic crisis is the ageing workforce. In a few decades European labor markets will face shortages of dozens of millions of workers. Labor migration will play an increasingly important role. In many professions having a job near home will be a thing of the past. Labor migration within Europe but also worldwide will increase sharply. Finding the right worker at the right time requires knowledge - knowledge of the market where demand for labor exists and also knowledge of the market where the right worker can be found. Humares provides this unique combination by being able to respond to changes in both the supply and demand side.
Ultimately the success of an organization hinges on its people. That is why our mission statement includes the line "Humares cares for workers.” Not only because we believe that having workers committed to the company in times of structural tightness is a precondition for success, but mainly because we believe that caring well for your workers, in every way, is key to a company’s long-term success.
